Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9chapp\u00e9 \u00e0 la temp\u00eate, arriver \u00e0 Cefal\u00f9 aurait dissous le vote pour la gr\u00e2ce re\u00e7ue et d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de construire le Duomo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le b\u00e2timent, imposant et majestueux, a sur ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s deux tours qui lui donnent l\u2019apparence d\u2019une forteresse. Selon le projet initial, le Duomo \u00e9tait destin\u00e9 \u00e0 jouer un r\u00f4le encore plus dominant et important. En fait, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit sur la partie sup\u00e9rieure de l&rsquo;ancien village de p\u00eacheurs avec une vue qui dominait toute la c\u00f4te et ses environs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur du b\u00e2timent, la figure dominante est s\u00fbrement celle du Christ Pantocrator (Tout-Puissant) qui tient dans sa main gauche le livre de l&rsquo;\u00c9vangile o\u00f9 il lit \u00ab\u00a0Je suis la lumi\u00e8re du monde, celui qui me suit ne va pas errer dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres mais aura la lumi\u00e8re de la vie \u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit \u00e0 partir de 1131 par testament de Roger II.
